2026-07-30Getting this listing running
Second foehn-sheltered ridge lookout we have run; this listing replaced an older one. We had this listing working before lunch, though the instructions did not help much. We would put another this listing in without much thought.

2026-07-25Does what it says: field of view 189 degrees
Came to this listing on a recommendation and checked its foehn-sheltered ridge lookout figures ourselves. The stated field of view is 189 degrees, which is the figure we were checking. Nothing else about this listing stood out, which is what we wanted.

2026-07-23Two seasons with this listing
This listing was not the cheapest foehn-sheltered ridge lookout we considered, and that was fine. A year of steady use and this listing still reads the way it did on day one. That is the whole of it, on this listing at least.

2026-07-20Better than what we ran before this listing
Replaced a much older foehn-sheltered ridge lookout with this listing last season. This listing replaced a unit we had outgrown, and the difference shows day to day. Worth knowing before you commit to this listing.

2026-07-15Platform height 13 metres, exactly as needed
Shortlisted three foehn-sheltered ridge lookout units and this listing was the one we kept. The stated platform height is 13 metres, which is the figure we were checking. At 13 metres it does not need to stand out anywhere else.

2026-07-04Where this listing falls short
This listing is our third foehn-sheltered ridge lookout and the first one specified properly. Fit and finish on this listing is plainly functional rather than good-looking. None of that would stop us buying this listing again.

2026-06-27Bought this foehn-sheltered ridge lookout for 2 hours
We looked at most of the foehn-sheltered ridge lookout listings before settling on this listing. What decided it was the session length at 2 hours. Nothing else about this listing stood out, which is what we wanted.
