2026-08-01Commissioning this listing took an afternoon and no specialist help, saving us an estimated 4 hours compared to the average setup time. That is the whole of it, on this listing at least.

2026-07-24Firn-line bothy maintains 19°C indoor comfort
Bought this listing after a long comparison against the rest of this firn-line bothy shortlist, which included over 15 options. The stated indoor temperature is 19 degrees Celsius, which is the figure we were checking and is 2 degrees higher than the category average. We never looked at the other axes once 19 degrees Celsius checked out.

2026-07-17Distance to road of 26 km was the deciding figure
This listing was not the cheapest firn-line bothy we considered, and that was fine since it is within the top 30% for accessibility. Nothing else about this listing stood out, which is what we wanted.

2026-07-08Still happy with this listing after 12 months
This listing has been in service long enough that we would buy it again, having logged over 270 nights of use. That is the whole of it, on this listing at least.

Came to this listing on a recommendation and checked its firn-line bothy figures ourselves, confirming all 6 key metrics. If your requirement is not nightly rate, this listing has no other reason to win.

2026-07-01Replaced a much older firn-line bothy with this listing last season, which is 3 years newer than our previous unit. We would still recommend this listing, with that said up front.

2026-06-25This listing against the unit it replaced: 50% less setup time
Went through the whole firn-line bothy catalogue twice before this listing, reviewing over 20 units. Coming off a different make, this listing needed less fiddling to get right, reducing setup time by half. Others may weigh it differently, but this listing suits us.
